Website Design
I get a large amount of personal satisfaction upon the completion of one of my new websites or designs. To date, all of my designs have been personal ventures but I have started accepting low-range requests for designs for a very slight fee (around $30-50 for small sites.) My websites all make use of the following:
- XHTML (Usually 1.1, but sometimes 1.0 transitional)
- W3C Validity
- Table-less CSS Layout
- PHP (For dynamic content)
- MySQL (If necessary for storing data)
- Design capable of supporting a wide array of resolutions and browsers.
In addition, I can provide a small amount of Javascript/AJAX if it is necessary. Most of my websites make use of PHP and MySQL for a Content Management System that allows pages’ content to be updated without modifying the actual website code. Contact me if you are interested in a low-key design or website.
Game Development
I have been in the process of learning the various tenets of game development for over six years now, on my own and in the past few years in-school through my AP computer science class. Despite several attempts over the years to put a game together, I have lacked the focus necessary to complete such an endeavor. However, I hope to finally get serious about this before the summer of 2009 is over, and have learned from my previous mistakes such as getting hung up on the art assets. The new idea I have plays on the fact that the art style is deliberately simple (consisting of blocks and circles), while still having an engaging battle system and dialogue. Once I complete the new versions of all my websites, I will be able to focus on this idea much more and hopefully start my game portfolio off on the right foot.
