Crossing the Threshold
This blog now has more than 100 posts!

This entry would have actually been number 100 itself, except that tonight I finally (after four straight years of absence) added the entries from 2005, bringing the total to 113 entries (including this one.) Of course, I decided to password-protect them for the same reasons they were taken offline in the first place. They’re just way too embarrassing! Not only that, they’re very unrepresentative of the person I am today. I also doubt I’ll give out the password unless I want to have a laugh with somebody, but even still, having them there reinforces this blog’s history. You don’t have to take my word that this blog has been active for almost five years anymore.
…wait, five years…? :Q I’m seriously dumbstruck every time I think of that. Ridiculous. Impossible. Mind-blowing. And this isn’t self-flattery, either. Tons of my other websites have failed (the number has to be past 40 by now), but this one persists.

Why, Carol of the Bells? Why, why do you persist?
And I have also just finished adding all the comments from Blogger (down to the exact time of their posting!) That number? 127 comments. More than the total of entries itself! Of course, a couple were me testing the comment system, as well as “double posts,” but I seriously never though I’ve received that much feedback on this blog. I seriously didn’t. I thought every new post was doomed to obscurity, but now I realize it’s not such a bleak landscape out there after all.
I thank all of my commenters personally: Joseph, James, Chad, Ryan, and Steph. I believe every single one of my comments has been generated by you select five, and myself. This probably wouldn’t be worth doing without you, and I may have lost impetus a long time ago were it not for your comments.
This entry and the realizations I’ve made in it will probably keep me going for another five years and another hundred or so posts. But your comments couldn’t hurt. ![]()
