This will be short as I don’t have much time before 2008, I’ll have a more detailed post soon.
My one week of vacation was great. I updated my Zune software, and now it is AWESOME. Wireless syncing is great, and the software doesn’t suck. In fact it’s great, it isn’t a shoddy black Windows Media Player knockoff, it’s actually quite elegant. They added support for MPEG4 and H.264 video files, but what I’m really waiting for is AVI support, as all the anime I put on my new computer is AVI.
Oh, did I mention that was this year’s big Christmas gift? I guess I did. It is FANTASTIC. It’s an Athlon 64 x2 (64-bit, dual core), has 1GB of RAM, and has an absolutely beautiful 17″ flat-panel LCD screen. I’m loving this thing. Vista is OK actually, it did Blue Screen on my first day, twice, something that never happened ever in my two years on my laptop, and it constantly freezes when using that awesome new Zune software, but I’m confident SP1 and more careful computing on my part will alleviate that somewhat.
First thing, after downloading the required programs, transfering my files, and removing the default software, was downloading EVE Online. I’m loving this game. My sister’s fiancĂ© set me up in-game, and it just clicks for me. Much moreso than World of Warcraft ever did.
Yesterday I went and saw Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. It was an OK movie, I liked it. Not enough buildup or conflict, but it was good nonetheless. More interesting is that I sat in front of someone I could have sworn was Liz from high school in front of me; same hair, wore a long T-shirt, and I know that she likes movies like that. Turned out to be a guy.
2007 was a great year huh? From being emo, listening to Within Temptation, and watching Dirt at the beginning, to really taking things by storm and being appreciative of all I have at the end, I grew in 2007. A lot. It’s impossible to recap my entire journey through 2007 in one post, so instead I leave my archives bare to you.
2007 was great, and I can’t wait to see what’ll happen in 2008.
