Temple of Andrex Codename: iI
As you who frequent the Temple of Andrex know, I am upgrading the look and functionality into the new age. The codename for this endeavor is “iI,” Roman numerals for “2″, except the first “i” is lower case, making it sound all cool like “iTunes” and junk like that. The background will be darker, the buttons will be-… Oh wait, why don’t I just show you? Click here for a preview of the new ToA. It will be much more streamlined and use new coding skills I’ve recently learned. However, CotB and ToA will still be completely different entities, each being upgraded in different ways and at different times, regardless of what your impressions of the screenshot are.
So. This summer’s almost half-over, is it not? One whole year ago this July 8th was my first trip to the SUP. A whole year! I’ve been reflecting on the month’s of this entire last year, knowing each month has a different aura. Each month’s aura is what color I think the month would have and important events that happened in the month. For example, last November was white because it snowed a lot when I was over my grandmother’s house for Thanksgiving, and it was also the month in which I restarted listening to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Each month has it’s own distinct aura and I always like to reminisce about previous enjoyments.
But back to where I started: Summer. Almost half over. Scary, isn’t it? Feels like I just started to get a routine down. I’m going to start reading “Briar Rose,” one of the required reading books, and it will be a priority to get “Net Force” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes.” I don’t want to leave reading them until a week before school, like last year. If I had left my old posts here, you would read how frantic I was in finishing the books. Still, the books were barely used in any capacity at all when school started. My cousin Ben has moved in with Ashley down at the pond and they share rent. I still don’t know how this will affect me.
I have renewed vigor in all my writing projects; namely my two books and Heaven’s Hope. One book in particular has me excited because it combines eastern philosophy with Christian overtones in a sci-fi setting. Maybe a prelude will be posted here.
Still, I need to find a publisher that won’t charge outrageous royalties…
It is becoming increasingly obvious how well Nintendo will fare in the coming console war, indeed it would be downright stupid for anyone to badmouth them now, especially with the utter junk Sony is spewing week after week. The Opera DS browser is preparing for it’s Japanese launch. When it comes to America, (or if it’s region free), I will have three uses left for my computer, (which is already showing it’s tech-age): 1. Pictures and editing, 2. World of Warcraft, (Level 8 Undead Priest named Noksis on Archimonde), and 3. Document editing. I rarely use any of these functions, (hence my low level on WoW), so the DS browser could be the best thing to happen to me since my computer. Or it could be utter crap. But the reviews I hear about it are good, so might as well take the plunge.
July 2005 had a dreamlike, carefree aura. July 2006 is already turning out to be boringly monotonous. Prove me wrong July 2006!
